Pelican Marsh is a sprawling community of single-family houses, villas, coach homes and condos on more than 2000 acres, including 133 acres of preserves. Its centerpiece is the 72- par, 18-hole championship course designed by Robert von Hagge. The 25,000 square foot Pelican Marsh Community Center includes a fitness room, massage therapy rooms, aerobics/assembly room, bridge club, book club and tennis facilities with full-time tennis director. In one corner of the community is the Estates at Bay Colony, a private enclave of luxury estate homes built around its own golf course. Pelican Marsh has the distinction of being listed in the publication called America's 100 Best Places to Retire.
